Estonia will host the World Orienteering Championships that will take place in the beginning of July (30 June to 7 July) in Tartu and South Estonia. It is a peak event that will bring to Estonia fifty countries teams and sympathisers as well as couple of thousand domestic and foreign fans. The title contender's host will be the City of Tartu where in addition to sprint competitions there will be prize giving events and concerts. In addition to the university city there will be competition sites also in Viljandi, Rõuge and Vitipalu. The races will be in Sprint Qualification, Sprint Final, Sprint Relay, Long Distance, Middle Distance and Relay.
