European athletics summer of 2021 peaks in Tallinn. As a historical event, both the U23 and U20 European Athletics Championships are held at the Kadrioru stadium over two consecutive weeks.
The U23 championships held on 8-11 July and the U20 championships held a week later on 15-18 July will welcome more than 2000 athletes from over 45 countries to Tallinn. Many of these athletes are already among the world’s top athletes.
Estonians have won many medals in past U23 and U20 events, during the last competition, decathlete Johannes Erm won silver at the U23 event in Gävle in 2019, and javelin thrower Gedly Tugi won bronze at the U20 event in Boråse on 2019.
